Shengbo Jiangpin: A Unique Liquor Packaging Design Inspired by Confucian Culture

Originating from the town of Maotai, the holy place for producing high-quality Maotai-flavored liquor, Shengbo Jiangpin represents the essence of this national treasure. It symbolizes the unity between the shores of Maotai and the river that flows through it, creating a profound connection between the land and the people.

The realization of this design involved the use of special paper silk printing for the outer packaging, with the main title text adorned with gilding. The bottle itself is made from ceramic materials, with a surface that undergoes a baking and gilding process. The result is a visually striking and tactile experience that reflects the attention to detail and craftsmanship put into every aspect of Shengbo Jiangpin.

With dimensions of 145mm in width, 110mm in depth, and 300mm in height, the packaging of Shengbo Jiangpin is as impressive as the liquor itself. Its size and design make it an ideal gift for those who appreciate the fusion of tradition and elegance.

Shengbo Jiangpin was unveiled to the world in October 2018, following a successful completion of the project in Shenzhen. The design team, led by Guo Xu and Saoxing Fang, meticulously researched and developed this concept to ensure its authenticity and cultural significance. The project was showcased at an exhibition in Guiyang, Guizhou, captivating audiences with its unique blend of art, design, and cultural heritage.

This exceptional design was recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2019, a prestigious accolade that celebrates designs that embody creativity, resourcefulness, and technical excellence. Shengbo Jiangpin stands as a testament to the power of design to enhance our lives and preserve the essence of our cultural heritage.
